The second floor. Bella couldn't help but let out a sigh of relief at the fact that she was almost done with her exploring adventure. Now, all she had to do was turn the corner and find the room she wanted, then head back down to Edward, and she'd be good to go.

Looking down at her map, Bella was interrupted by the sound of something metallic hitting the walls, as well as voices down the hallway. She froze for a moment, frowning. Was there a fight down the hallway? While curious, she knew she couldn't spend her time getting mixed up in a fight she would not win, and instead left the fight to itself. She only hoped whoever was down there would be okay.

"Right, okay. Almost there," she muttered to herself, moving towards the wall so she could place her hand against it, allowing her to feel when the wall curled away and led into the smaller hallway she was looking for. Then all that would be left would to count the doors until she found the one she was looking for.

Yuna stopped when they reached the other hall. She didn't want to wonder if there would be a few less people at the dining hall tomorrow, but she did. She didn't even know which faces to check for.

Theoretically, ex-summoners could still perform Sendings. But even those were useless without a body. Yuna knew, intellectually, that the monsters weren't fiends—Kagura had said as much, even if Yuna had never explained. But she couldn't help herself from hoping—

"Sir Edgar, do you—do you think they'll be safe?"

Edgar stopped just short of Yuna, turning and looking toward the fight. From the other side of the hall, he could make out a man and a woman fighting the sword-laden monster. The figure at the center of the blades remained an enigma, the view obscured by the numerous weapons.

"I don't know, to tell the truth," he answered. "I do know that we'd be of no help unless properly armed, and attacking a monster like that with little more than a club would leave us open for defeat, and we'd be the ones who need the rescuing."

He watched for another moment. "It seems they're not giving up without a fight. I believe they'll be okay for now." That said, he turned from the scene, starting down the side passage.
